The Getting Started section describes how to access and log into the Brightlayer Suite and will walk you through basic functionalities applying to all Brightlayer applications.
Accessing and logging into the Brightlayer Industrial Machinery Suite
Brightlayer Suite is accessible through a web browser.
Supported browsers
Our applications are compatible with the following desktop web browsers:
- Edge Browser
- Firefox (latest version)
- Chrome (latest version)
Info: Brightlayer Suite for mobile devices have certain limitations. Screens and graphical elements may not be mobile-friendly.
URL
To access the applications for your Brightlayer Suite, use the following URL:
https://portal.machinery-monitoring.com
This will direct you to the login page.
Important: Make sure that the address bar of your browser shows a lock icon. The lock icon indicates that you are using a secure connection and that you are indeed connected to the Brightlayer Suite platform.
How to log into Brightlayer IM
Before you could log in to the Brightlayer Industrial Machinery you need to be registered. Once you are registered click LOG IN on the login screen.
Enter your email address in the Sign In screen. Confirm with “Next” to get to the following window of the login process.
Enter your password in the Password window of the login process.
Register as a user
In general there are 2 options on how a new user needs to be registered:
Your company does not yet have a subscription on Brightlayer IM: In this case please contact your local Eaton sales & support organization. They will open a new Brightlayer subscription for your company. Afterwards a Subscription Admin needs to be assigned and the subscription would be created.
Your company already has a subscription on Brightlayer IM: In this case please contact the Brightlayer IM Subscription Admin of your company. He will set up the registration process for you.
Important: Please do not use the “Sign up” link on the Sign in window to create a new account for Brightlayer IM.
To reset your password
- Click the Need help signing in? link on the Sign In window of the login process. This would open the Forgot Password? menu topic.
- Click on Forgot Password? and the Reset Password window would open
- Enter your email address and click Reset via Email.
- Check your email account for an email from the Brightlayer support providing a password reset link.
- Click the link in the email and provide your new password.
Info: The password reset link is only valid for one day.
How to logout from Brightlayer IM
The User menu is accessible through the User button on the right side of the top bar. From the context menu the user can Logout from the portal.
