Device configuration
The Brightlayer Device Configuration enables users to create new devices for their dashboard service. The Device Configuration includes parent devices as well as child devices that are assigned to a parent device.

Accessing the Device Configuration
The Device Configuration menu topic is only available if at least one dashboard service (group or tenant service) has been signed for the subscription.
After opening the Device Configuration page all devices of the dashboard service are shown.
The name of the dashboard service is shown on the upper left corner of the page. If the subscription has more than one dashboard service signed a drop down menu is shown in the upper left corner of the page and the user has to select the dashboard service he wants to work on.
The Device Configuration allows dashboard admins to create new devices. In the Device Configuration the user can:
- See the list of all the devices and child devices.
- Add a device
- View the MQTT configuration of the device that must be uploaded to new gateway hardware in order to establish a connection with the ‘virtual’ device on the dashboard service.
Configuring devices
There are some things to be considered when configuring devices:
- For device configuration in a dashboard tenant service (Flex, Flexplus) the Tenant Admin cannot assign a device to a group in the device management. He has to create the device on the tenant. Afterwards he needs to start the Dashboard service and assign the device to a group.
- It is possible to work with the Device configuration even when there’s an open Browser window / tab showing the Dashboard service. In such a case it has to be considered that changes done in the Device configuration (e.g. adding new devices) would only be visible in the Dashboard service window / tab after a refresh of the browser.
Configuring Mqtt Messages Client
Open NubisNet web configuration tool and enter credentials
Navigate to Settings section → select Settings tab → Network → OpenVPN
Fill the given settings fields according to following table
