These release notes include all relevant changes (improvements, documentation changes, fixes) that have been implemented since the previous release.
Brightlayer Dashboard
Event List Widget
An Event List widget was added to the Dashboard tool. This widget allows you to easily monitor the events of a selected device in realtime. In addition historical events of a selected device can be reviewed by choosing a time frame.
Brightlayer Dashboard Flex
The new Dashboard Flex tier offers several additional advantages to subscribers:
- With Dashboard Flex the subscriber has access to a complete Dashboards Tenant. Therefore individual branding can be implemented by the Eaton support team. That includes subscriber logos and screens showing individual colors that could be based on the subscribers corporate color schemes.
- Dashboard Flex Tenants also offer the possibility of implenting stream analytics functionality. This features allows to set up algorithms that do calculations based on incoming data. Those algorithms would be set up by the Eaton support team based on subscriber specification.
- The Dashboard Flex subscription also entitles the subscriber for direct access to the Brightlayer ticketing system. Technicians of the subscriber that have been trained on the Brightlayer tools may get access to directly open tickets on the Brightlayer support system. Similar to the Dashboard Start subscription support requests can also still be issued via the local Eaton support team in your country.
- Data storage of up to 60 days remains to be free-of-charge. After this time period data can be stored for up to 10 years in the operational store of the tenant (identical to the Dashboard Start subscription).
Known Limitations
Picture upload
Picture upload can still only be done by an Eaton admin.
Data Export
Data Export can only be done by an Eaton admin. This feature is planned to be released with the version 3.0 of this product. This version is scheduled for 2023.
