These release notes include all relevant changes (improvements, documentation changes, fixes) that have been implemented since the previous release.
Brightlayer Dashboard
Login Process:
The Login process was changed. To log into Brightlayer Industrial Machinery Dashboard you have to click on the “Login” button under the Brightlayer logo. You will be redirected to another page to enter your credentials. Once you are validated you will be redirected back to the dashboard tool.
Documentation
The documentation is available in an online version from this version onwards.
Group menu:
“Info” is replaced by “Smart rules”, though the content remains the same.

List of group names:
The list contains more information about the group without having to open the group details.

Changes of functionality:
Changing the name of the group is done in a different way.
- Old : Click on ‘Edit’ to change group name and description of the group.
- New: Group name and description can be edited separately by clicking the pen symbol.
New functionality:
- Smart Rule : ‘On missing measurement Create alarm’ was added
Known Limitations
Picture upload
Picture upload can still only be done by an Eaton admin.
Data Export
Data Export from can only be done by an Eaton admin. This feature is planned to be released with the version 2.0 of this product. This version is scheduled for 2022.
