General usage notes

The Eaton NubisNet IoT-Gateways are intended to be used for Cloud communication via MQTT in industrial applications. They can also be used as a VPN Client to set up a remote connection to applications.

With the protection class IP 20 the Gateway is intended to be installed in electrical cabinets to ensure protection against environmental damage. In case of a metal electrical cabinet it may be required to use separate antennas for Gateways with radio connection (LTE, WLAN). Such antennas are offered by Eaton as accessories.

From time to time Eaton will release new versions of the Firmware and / or Software of the Gateways. These new versions may include patches to improve the cyber security of the Gateways. Eaton will update the Gateway support section of this page as soon as the new Firmware is available. The Gateways should not be operated with any other than the latest Firmware version.
